HOW YOUR SEXUALITY IS A PUBLIC MATTER
In a society where the dominant presentation of sexuality is completely unrealistic and exposed for all age groups, it is critical that other voices are heard. If we allow a profit driven industry to dictate the agenda, we miss out not only on personal pleasure and more robust relationships – but potentially major social changes.
Even if most westerners today have been raised in an environment offering an awareness of who we are as sexual beings, the awareness of how our sexuality is formed is severely lacking. Thus most people unconsciously download society´s and their families sexual norms and patterns , without ever questioning them. Without taking in – that they are not only influenced by society´s view on sexuality – they are part of creating and maintaining it.
We are sexual beings, from birth until the day we take our last breath. Our sexuality is a major key to our general well-being, energy and creativity. Yet sexuality is generally ignored or at best randomly treated in education systems, health services and politics. Furthermore, sexuality in general – and female sexuality in particular – is feared and oppressed all around the world because of its transformative power. When released, it can and will lead to major societal changes, healing and balance.
It is in the public interest to help us all discover and understand how wonderful and beautiful we are: Our bodies are perfect for us. Our sexuality is free and ours alone.
